Niggard is a meanly and covetous person, one who spends grudgingly.

This word describes various kinds of insatiable desires for food, money, power, or material possessions.

There are other words that can perfectly describe the word niggardly such as
– Stingy
– Greed and
– Covetous.

The word “Niggardly” might not be directly found in the Bible but its other related words can be found in the Bible.

You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

We have to seek God first in order to inherit the kingdom and everything that we are looking for will be given to us. Putting away greed can help us seek God with our whole hearts.
But a niggard person won’t inherit the kingdom because he seeks his own gain.
He boasts about himself, he follows only people with such a niggard attitude like his.

What does the lamp symbolize in the Bible?

A lamp can be defined as an instrument that gives light.

There are a lot of places in the Bible that talk about Lamps, and because light is important for us to see both physically and spiritually, so the carrier of the light can not be neglected.

The carrier of the light is the lamp, if you take away the carrier of the light from the light, it will be naked and any small wind will put it off. But if you can confine the light in the space of the lamp the chances of it going off fast is low, thereby preserving the durability of the light

The word of God is a lamp unto my feet, almost say the lamp is like coverage or protection. And the light illuminates the path. We need God’s word to ignite and guide our steps, God’s word can properly enlighten us on what is right and wrong. And the more we marinate ourselves in God’s word, the more we’ll be able to discern between right and wrong and choose the right path.

When we walk at night or in a seemingly dark place, the use of a flashlight is needed. So also this applies to every place we go, we will need God’s word as a lamp to our feet and a light for our path.

God’s word enables us to understand right from wrong as we encounter choices of today. God’s word teaches us humility, love, and obedience with the intention that we live confidently and faithfully for God every day.

Prosperity is the total well-being of a man. It is a state of having all-around peace and happiness.

Prosperity makes you feel complete in Christ.

God himself is not a poor God, apart from him wanting us to have great well-being, he also wants us to be wealthy and have possessions.

Through this passage, you can see that we are meant to be financially blessed.
He forfeited his riches for poverty so that you and I will be rich.
His plans for us are that we may prosper and have good health to enjoy prosperity and wealth.
