Bible verses for because he lives is a powerful verse about God’s sovereignty. It serves as our drive and guide throughout our lives, especially when we are endeavoring to figure out why things happen the way they do.
Bible verses for because he lives
The entirety of the Bible was written under the guidance of God and is useful for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. The Bible, in the words of Jesus, because I live you shall also live. It is this that keeps us going in this world
John 3:16-17 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.-
John 3:16 is the most popular verse in the Holy Bible. It is the apex of our salvation story; how it started and how it is going. Every Christian convert would at first instance know this as the foundational verse of their faith. When Nicodemus first met Jesus, these words were said to him.
They serve as the basis for our love for both God and humanity and are a revelation of God’s character. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. After the fall of man, it was only by grace that we could be saved. the grace was named Jesus. It was He who took all our iniquity to the Cross that we might have a reconnection to the Father. Because He lives, we also live.
John 5:24 TLB
“I say emphatically that anyone who listens to my message and believes in God who sent me has eternal life, and will never be damned for his sins, but has already passed out of death into life.-
Jesus visited Jerusalem for a Jewish holiday from Galilee. While there, he went to a pool where several blind and disabled individuals sought solace. God invites us into a relationship that results in our overcoming death and entering eternal life.
One of the guys begged Jesus for assistance getting into the pool rather than asking for healing since he didn’t know who Jesus was. He was immediately healed by Jesus. This emphasizes the fundamental purpose of our Lord’s entry into the world, which is to provide people with eternal life.
Romans 6:4 TLB
Your old sin-loving nature was buried with him by baptism when he died; and when God the Father, with glorious power, brought him back to life again, you were given his wonderful new life to enjoy.-
A transformation occurs in our life as a result of the justifying faith in the resurrected Christ. According to Paul, just as Christ was resurrected from the dead by the glory of the Father, so too must we live new lives.
Christ’s resurrection not only represents an assurance for our bodily resurrection but also a guarantee for the resurrection of our spirits or souls. And by this, we have the newness of life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 TLB
When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!-
As popularly versed in King James’s version therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new. Our lives are now more spiritual than they were before.
The old sinful nature that died on the cross with Christ is what we refer to as our “death.” He buried it with Him. During baptism when we publicly declare our faith, we are dead to sin and rise to live with him.
Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow Bible Verse KJV
It is written I can do all things through Christ, who has strengthened me by faith. Jesus said after His resurrection that the promise of the Father which is the Holy Spirit shall come and teach us unto all truth. And now, the glory has come. We live because he lives and can face tomorrow because he is with us a mighty and terrible one.
John 14:19 KJV
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.-
The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is the single greatest defining moment in all of history. He informs us once again, in a way that is plain to all, even to the skeptics, that this is the end of His earthly presence. But the disciples will see Jesus once more because of the hope of salvation we have in Him.
Romans 8:18 KJV
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.-
If we share in the sufferings of the kingdom. then also does the glory awaits us; cos we will be partakers of His glory. Because of our sins, we are unable to share in God’s glory, but now, we shall completely enjoy God’s grandeur eternally in Christ since we are fully adopted heirs of God.
This verse doesn’t downplay the suffering we go through; rather, it places it in an everlasting context. And in all these things, because he lives we can face tomorrow cos we are more than conquerors.
Because He Lives Scripture
The resurrection of Jesus unto the office of Christ is the essence and reason we have new life and hope, in this world and hereafter. Jesus coming to die and resurrect for humanity was to fulfill Scripture. And so, because He lives, we can overcome whatever challenges life throws at us.
John 14:19 KJV
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.-
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would come, but added that unbelievers would not see or recognize Him. He reminds us once more that this marks the end of His earthly manifestation in a way that is evident to everyone, including skeptics.
But because of the promise of redemption we have in Him, the disciples will get to see Jesus again.
1 Corinthians 15:21 KJV
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.-
Paul gives a full explanation of how Christians might be raised from the grave. This stands in stark contrast to certain Corinthian believers who rejected such a resurrection. He demonstrates that, for Christians, dying naturally is not the end of life; rather, it is the last stage before getting a glorified, resurrected body similar to that of the crucified and risen Christ.
That “spiritual” body will be unlike our physical bodies in the same way that a star is unlike a fish. However, the Bible declares in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Oh! Glory!
Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow Sermon
We used to be ignorant and obstinate, easy prey for sin, being directed in every direction by our hormones, walking about with a chip on our shoulder, and being hated and hating back.
But all of that was avoided when God, our kind and loving Savior intervened. However, Jesus cautioned that unbelievers would not see or recognize Him when He did arrive.
John 1 begins with the expression of the word, which is Jesus and he went further to say in Him (Jesus) was life and the life was the light of men and the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness could not comprehend the light.
If Christ is a life that is the light of men, then with Christ, we can face life, and the assurance that he lives is our backbone and we believe that we would live even when we walk the valley of the shadow of death.
We can face tomorrow: life issues, pressure in the midst of weakness, and hardship. We can face all of it, and it’s not by our power, we had nothing to do with it; it was all his doing.
He gave us a thorough bath, and when we emerged, the Holy Spirit changed us completely. Jesus, our Savior, graciously poured out his fresh life. Our relationship with God has been repaired, and the gift from God has given us our life back. Additionally, there is an eternity of life yet to live! On this, you may rely.
Let us end this session with this popular hymn titled- Because He lives.
God sent His Son, they called him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died, to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth living just because He lives.
