Religious Fabric
The Term “religious fabric” can be seen in the Bible by looking at how religion is woven into the social and cultural practices of the Israelites and early Christians.
Religion was essential to the Israelites’ identity and way of life. The Torah’s regulations and practices affected every aspect of their everyday lives, from how they cooked food to how they conducted economic operations.
The temple and its rites were also an essential element of Israelite religious life, and building and maintaining the temple was viewed as a communal responsibility. The Israelis were also deeply committed to social justice rooted in their religious beliefs and practices.
