For our Edmonton, Alberta facility, we are presently hiring personnel to cover available jobs as Professional Automotive Handlers. The candidate will be in charge of managing new and used cars in a safe, effective, and professional manner.

Job specification

  • Load and unload automobiles from and onto multi-level railcars.
  • Install or remove vehicle wheel restraints from a multi-level railcar.
  • Vehicles are securely shuttled within an automotive plant.
  • Physically assess automobiles for damage and report findings.
  • Inventory management with a portable scanning device
  • Climb ladders to get to railcars.
  • Lift and install steel bridge plates weighing about 40 pounds between railcars.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school education
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience
  • Required to Read, Write, and Speak English
  • Required to hold a full valid Driver’s License in the province of employment working
  • Required to provide a reasonably clean Driver’s Record (Abstract) free of suspensions
  • Required to provide a clear criminal record check

Working Conditions

  • Capable of working outside in any weather conditions, including cold, heat, rain, and snow.
  • Capable of operating under a variety of environmental or seasonal circumstances, such as dust, pollen, and so on.
  • Safety Clothing and Equipment
  • Employees must furnish their own approved safety boots and wear them at all times while on the job (a boot allowance is offered during the probationary period).
  • Other PPE such as safety vests, coveralls, work gloves, safety glasses, hard helmets, and hearing protection will be provided as needed by the company.
