They are looking for an experienced Construction Painter Helper to help prepare surfaces for painting, mix paint, and apply paint to diverse structures.

The Construction Painter Helper will assist our professional painters and other members of the construction team in completing projects on schedule, at the best quality, and under safety requirements.

Job details

  • Salary: 26.50 hourly, 40 hours per week
  • Terms of employment Permanent employment: Full-time
  • Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Responsibilities

  • Surfaces should be prepared for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
  • Mix the paint and double-check that the colours meet the specs.Assist with the application of paint to various surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and equipment.
  • Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
  • Wear proper personal protection equipment and follow safety procedures.
  • As needed, assist with other building activities.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • Previous painting or construction expertise is recommended but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of colour and colour mixing
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • A keen eye for detail and a dedication to quality
  • Physical stamina and the ability to operate in a range of weather situations are required.
  • Willingness to learn from and be guided by experienced painters and supervisors

Tasks

  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
